Bellevue Chiropractic Associates: New Associate Opportunity

Bellevue Chiropractic Associates has developed a reputation for clinical excellence and providing effective, ethical chiropractic services for Seattle and Eastside residents.  Our office design is purposefully warm, enjoying a professional business-park setting located in a vigorous high tech and high income region.  In addition to our hard-earned reputation for providing quality care, our clinic is remarkably well organized, efficient, and profitable due to an experienced and talented professional and administrative staff.

We are looking for an associate that has the potential to become a great doctor.  Are you someone who can take advantage of an excellent opportunity to learn and work in an ethical, well-respected clinic that is profitably and efficiently run?  We are looking for someone that understands how commitment and hard work can lead to success.

We are committed to developing a long-term relationship through a fair business structure.   We operate on a collaborative philosophy that results in as few win/lose situations as possible.  Our goal is to have an associate grow into a partner but understand a new hire must earn that right.  As such, we cannot guarantee partnership within a stated period of time.  But, given enough time and experience and provided the relationship proves to be a good fit, you may be considered for partnership status.  The right for this consideration will be carefully weighed before any invitation is made.

In order to get you jump-started we offer case management training, community goodwill, and the security of a well-established clinic that is efficiently managed and has a reasonable overflow of new and established patients.  We are prepared to employ you and offer compensation in the form of a salary.  While the nuances of the employment contract can be negotiated, it should be understood that the salary is intended to taper over several months as you steadily increase your own practice revenue and bonus income.  In addition to lowering your personal risk exposure by providing the security of income and reduced overhead, you will be exposed to a learning environment that will improve the likelihood of your clinical and business success.

This is an exciting challenge for a new associate with the potential for a very good upside.  While there is potential for downside risk, and failure is a possibility, the opportunity for the right person is great.  This can be a highly rewarding business opportunity for you with the understanding that realizing some profit generation from our relationship is reasonable.  Keep in mind that we intend to provide opportunities for you that lead to a win/win outcome.

FAQ:

Whose patients will I be treating and how many hours will I work?
You will be treating your own patients.  We will set approximately 32 patient contact hours per week. You should plan to be at the office during normal business hours. Your final schedule will be set in advance.

Clinic hours are M W F 7-6, TU TH 7-5, Sat 8-12.

Will I be a private contractor or an employee of the clinic?

You would be an employee of the clinic with a starting salary that will taper on a scheduled basis.  The percentage compensation is pre-determined and is fair. You will pay your malpractice insurance along with any costs in maintaining your chiropractic license.

How are new patients and regular patients scheduled?

Patients are equally distributed between doctors.  New patients with insurance policies (covered only when they receive care by a contracted provider) will go to contracted chiropractors in the office until you are recognized as a provider by the insurance carriers.   In most cases, insurance provider status can be achieved within one to two months.  Referrals from long-time professional sources such as MDs and attorneys will be directed to the intended chiropractic physician unless receiving prior approval from the referral source.  Otherwise, all overflow new patient referrals will go to the new associates.

What are my responsibilities as a new associate?

You will treat patients on the scheduled days off of the attending chiropractor or if they want to come in and cannot be accommodated by the attending chiropractor (overflow).  However, the revenue these patient services generate goes directly into your “bucket”.  In exchange for this “green housing” and the other tangible and intangible benefits you receive from our relationship, the clinic director may take up to four weeks of vacation a year.  This means the patients you see of the clinic director during that specified vacation time do not go into your production bucket.  Your patients will not be treated by anyone else unless by your request or the patient’s scheduling needs.

When do I get paid?

Paydays are set to be on the same days as the rest of the staff, scheduled for twice monthly.

Can I work at another clinic or job?

No other employment is allowed during the contract term without prior approval. And, yes, there is a non-compete and non-solicit clause in the agreement.
