Our Story

Office

We've been here a long time! Bellevue Chiropractic Associates was founded in 1978, well before Bellevue Square. We are committed to help as many people we can get the best and most effective chiropractic care possible in our area.

For over 30 years we have worked hard to earn the reputation as one of Bellevue's most trusted and respected chiropractic offices. As a result our satisfied patients refer others. So do our Eastside's medical providers. Nearly half of our patients are direct referrals from MDs.

We are confident your experience with us will be rewarding and unique enough for you to tell your family and friends about BCA. You can help them get back to life.

How We Practice

We care about getting your spine healthy! When your spine doesn't work right your nervous system doesn't work right and you don't work right. And, when you don't work right, you're not well. Simple as that!

Naturally, we will help get rid of your pain! However, we are also interested in improving your spine's health which will help with your overall health. We work to improve your spine's alignment with chiropractic adjustments. We also teach you specific exercises to improve your spine's mobility and stability. We can use methods to reduce the muscular tension around your spine, restoring normal movement patterns, improving your general fitness returning you to normal activities.

Chiropractic Adjustments are the Most Essential Part of your Care

Spinal joints that aren't moving well alter the mechanics of the spinal joint system leading to pain and dysfunction. Chiropractic adjustments add motion to these stuck joints and may reduce nervous system disruption.

Adjustment Techniques

Sometimes a specific, highly-accurate chiropractic thrust is used. Or, an instrument may be used that delivers carefully directed energy. At times a slow, constant pressure is used. Several areas may be adjusted, or just one. Sometimes a popping sound is heard. We rely on adjustments to help your body "right itself". Most patients report a sense of well-being and ease. After all, if adjustments weren't pleasant, our patients wouldn't return for the visits needed to restore and retrain their spine.

Soft Tissue Mobilization

Mobilization is designed to improve mobility to muscles, tendons and fascia. Improved mobility decreases pain and improves posture and joint function. We use several techniques - such as sports massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and strain-counterstrain.

Exercise Rehabilitation

We will guide you in an exercise program to rehabilitate your spinal condition. We emphasize training your core strength and improving your balance and motion control in order to better hold your spinal adjustments. Progressive exercise will restore you to normal activities and/or sports performance.

Patient Education

We educate you on how to best manage your problem during and after your chiropractic care. This may include: self-care strategies, home exercises, and work ergonomics. We can also advise you or your trainer on how to best reach your fitness goals.
